Who Would Of Predicted Martin O’Neill Resigning?

Monday, 9 August 2010 23:21 by Carlos

Martin O’Neill has resigned from his post as manager of Aston Villa with only five days before the FA Premier league starts. This has left Aston Villa in a right state as O’Neill has left with immediate effect. Leaving the club to appoint Kevin MacDonald as the assistant manager. He will have to pick the side to play West Ham and that team will more than likely not include James Milner who is scheduled to sign for Manchester City in the next few days.

Why Did O’Neill Leave?

Rumours have it that O’Neill was unhappy that with the amount of money that was going to be available to buy players from the sell of James Milner to Manchester City. Recently Aston Villa owner Randy Lerner had been quoted saying that they must sell to buy, which is not really what O’Neill wanted to hear as he had started to build a young team and to have to sell your best players it not the way the club will challenge for the Champions League or even Premier league title.

This is why we think O’Neill resigned, because he’d taken Villa as far as he could with the resources at his disposal. He wanted to challenge for the Champions League places and Premier league title and had the right framework in place, especially with young English players, but his hand was force to sell and then not be given enough funds to buy in better quality players.

Who Will Villa Appoint?

We predict that Glenn Hoddle will be mentioned for the Villa job or even Sven Goran Eriksson getting another crack at managing a Premier league team.

So if your one of the lucky ones that place a bet and predicted that Martin O’Neill would resign before the start of the season then you will love our prediction league game for the FA Premier 2010/11 season. Even if you didn’t predict that Martin O’Neill would resign still check out our website as you might be better at predicting the results.

Manchester United Win FA Community Shield (2010-11)

Monday, 9 August 2010 16:24 by Carlos

Manchester United started the season of with yet another piece of silverware, by beating Chelsea 3-1 at Wembley in the FA Community Shield. This is the first time Manchester United have beaten Ancelotti’s team.

Antonio Valencia's scorer the opener after a good low pass from Wayne Rooney, and new signing Javier Hernandez scored on his debut with a comical goal after coming on as a half-time substitute.

Chelsea kept pushing for a goal, but found Edwin van der Sar in top form. However, Chelsea did pull a goal back through Salomon Kalou- after van der Sar had made a one handed save from a Daniel Sturridge effort.

Substitute Dimitar Berbatov killed the game off with a excellent lob in the final minutes. Paul Scholes was awarded the man of the match as he controlled the midfield from start to finish with a superb passing display.

Man Utd vs Chelsea Prediction

Saturday, 10 January 2009 21:21 by Carlos

This is a crucial game for both teams, as they both need the three points to help mount a serious challenge to Liverpool, who currently top the FA Premier League. I predict that Chelsea will bag all three points, winning 2-1.

Manchester United will dominate the first half and take the lead with Dimitar Berbatov getting on the score sheet. However, Chelsea will come out all guns blazing after Luiz Felipe Scolari gives his troops an ear bashing. Didier Drogba will equalise early on to setup a tense finish to the game and Frank Lampard will pop up in the last seconds of the game to score the winning with a header.

Prediction

Manchester United 1 - 2 Chelsea

Predict Addict - New Enhancements

Thursday, 16 October 2008 00:08 by Carlos

In response to the feedback and suggestions provided by members of the Predict Addict website, we've been developing and beta testing a range of new enhancements for Predict Addict and are pleased to announce that they have now been released.

So what's been added:-

  • Leaderboard page size increase to 100
  • Number of registered members displayed on home page
  • Prediction Statistics (stats) for each football fixture
  • Mini League filtering by competition stage
  • Leaderboard filtering by current competition stage
  • Visual enhancements and bug fixes

The number of members listed on a page for the leaderboard has increased to 100 for both the main leaderboard and member's mini leagues. Also the Facebook version of the leaderboard has been increased to 100 members per page.

We now display the number of registered website members on the home page (at the time of writing we currently have 1,940 members). So if you haven't told your mates already then let them know about Predict Addict.

Each football fixture now displays the prediction statistics, hovering the mouse over the chart icon displays the statistics for the fixture. Depending on whether the fixture is still to kickoff determines the statistics displayed. If the fixture is yet to kickoff then the statistics shows the percentage of members who think the result will be a home win, draw or away win. However, if the fixture has finished then the statistics shows the percentage of members who predicted the correct result, correct outcome or incorrect.

As requested by many members, we've added the feature to filter the mini league leaderboard by competition stage, as in the main leaderboard. This allows mini league owners to easily determine which member scored the most points for a given competition stage (weekly leaderboard).

The leaderboard's now supports current competition stage filtering, once all the results for the current competition stage have been collected and entered into the system.

If you've got a suggestion or feedback then please let us know by filling in either the Contact form on this blog or the Feedback form on our website.
